Davos, the highest city in Europe, is renowned for its sports, leisure, and cultural activities, healing climate, HC Davos, Kirchner Museum, World Economic Forum, and the astonishing view on Jakobshorn. Its healing climate, known for 150 years, attracted spa guests since 1860. German doctor Alexander Spengler's treatment for lung patients, involving sleep on sun terraces and Veltliner wine, made Davos famous, inspiring Thomas Mann's 1924 novel "The Magic Mountain."
