The Engadine’s network of hiking paths and trails is said to be 580 km (360 mi) long. Nobody knows for sure, but one thing is certain: every mile is an adventure in itself!

With the Bernina range in one direction and the lakes of the Upper Engadine valley in the other, hiking on Corvatsch - Furtschellas is the ultimate reward!

Perfect for families, the Water Trail takes hikers on a 2.5-hour loop past six crystal-clear mountain lakes. The Via Gastronomica offers gourmands a variety of courses, as they pop into restaurants dotted along the way. The Panoramic Trail is for lovers of breathtaking landscapes. Set high above the Upper Engadine lakes, the 4-hour walk through scented Alpine meadows is contrasted with views of the pinnacles and rocky crags of the Corvatsch massif. Be sure to spot marmots, ibex and eagles along the way.

Looking for a treat while hiking? A piece of homemade fruit tart on your plate? With the sun on your face and the Upper Engadine at your feet, the restaurants on Corvatsch and Furtschellas offer a wealth of high-level experiences for all the senses. No fewer than five restaurants, one mountain hut, two sun terraces and two fully-equipped barbecue sites await hikers, bikers, families and gourmets.

Cable cars run 365 days a year, and offer breathtaking views of the Piz Bernina.
